We serve locally brewed real ales, farmhouse bottled ciders and continental lagers. We have recently found some fantastic bottled beers which go really well with food and make an interesting alternative to wine.
We make our own speciality country cocktails, pimms and strawberry vodka in the summer and mulled wine and sloe gin in the winter.
We buy wine for our list using a simple philosophy, we look for diversity of choice, value and most importantly quality and that's what we believe has gained us so many awards for our lists.
On our lists you may find some unusual names and varieties, alongside more famous counterparts, but all with one thing in common... taste. For the enthusiasts and those celebrating a special occasion, we also have listed some 'fine & rare' wines, we follow the same principles when selecting these offerings, looking primarily for the intrinsic quality of the wine.
We also have blackboards above and around the bars displaying a variety of bin-ends and curios along with tasting notes, generally these wines are in small quantities, and are of course very modestly priced.
